Home Education at Aurora
Home education, sometimes referred to as home schooling or home-based learning, is an option available to all Yukon students. It is a way for students to learn in their home and community with an approach that is adaptable and personalized.
Parents assume responsibility for their child's learning by selecting educational programs, methods and resources.
Yukon Education now coordinates home education through the Aurora Virtual School.
Timeline for Home Education Planning

You must complete BOTH the registration form and the home education plan forms.
2. Registration forms and the Home Education forms should be submitted prior to May 15th of the current school year for the following school year. Home Education Plans must be submitted separately for each subject. No Home Education Plans will be processed during the summer break.
